Revolver’s Athlete Manager, Matt Syms, comes with over 12 years experience in the surf industry having worked in the areas of surfboard manufacturing, retail sales, sales representation, team management plus National Sales and Marketing Management. Matt has taken and adapted this broad skill base and is now at the forefront of modern athlete management. Matt’s role focused on:
- Surf Industry sponsorship sourcing and liaison
- Mainstream sponsorship sourcing and liaison
- Contract negotiation
- Photo incentive management
- Mentoring and guidance
- Annual schedule development
- Travel bookings & management
- Working with media to maximize exposure – (Surf and non-surf media)
- Public speaking engagements & bookings
Matt would be your primary day-to-day contact and is the link between you and the rest of the advisors who make up the Revolver Management Team. Matt is tertiary qualified with a Bachelor of Business Degree majoring in Marketing and has been involved in surfing most of his life. Matt is experienced at negotiating contracts at the highest level and knows what it takes to make successful deals happen. Matt also has a huge number of contacts throughout the industry to draw on in making sure his clients are being well supported and well remunerated.
